On December 3, 2024, Boujdour proudly hosted the Third Environmental Forum under the theme "Climate Adaptation in Desert Environments." The opening ceremony welcomed distinguished guests, including local leaders, education directors, and environmental professionals from the Laayoune region.

In his opening speech, the Director of Dar Al-Ajyal reaffirmed the Forum's mission to promote environmental education annually with diversified themes. Dr. Al-Kharashi Babi, speaking for the Provincial Directorate of Education, emphasized the need to raise environmental awareness among young people.

Ms. Yasmeen Makhlouf, from the Regional Directorate of Environment, stressed the importance of community action against climate change, especially within desert regions.
